that demonstrates true community, deep Christian spirituality and a passion for justice.

This Mission of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) To be and to share the Good News

of Jesus Christ, witnessing, loving and serving from our doorsteps “to the ends of the earth.”

(Acts 1:8)

Our tradition seeks to share and witness our faith from our doorsteps to the ends of the earth.

We are a house of prayer for all people.

This saying is on the cornerstone of our sanctuary and in the hearts of all our members.. We seek to be a welcoming

and hospitable community to any searching for meaning and purpose in God’s world. We are a church community

that welcomes those desiring to be active and involved or those seeking rest for their souls.

We believe Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior of the world.

We believe the unity of the church is essential to God’s mission to the world.

We believe the primary authority for the church’s life is the Bible.

We believe the Bible is the primary source of God’s revelation, Jesus Christ.

We believe in the empowerment of all people through the Holy Spirit.

We believe in two sacraments: baptism and communion. We practice a believer’s baptism by full immersion,

and we accept those who were baptized in other Christian traditions. We celebrate the communion

as an open table to any who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives. The bread and

cup celebrated at communion are representative of the body and blood of Jesus Christ.
