Leaning Into Your Star Word by Ron
Star Words were provided to the congregation recently. As you might expect with any group some folks liked what they got and others not so much. Some grumbled “what can I do with this word” while others were challenged with their words.
I tend to think that God intended for each person to get the word they picked. Not all words are so easy to integrate into our spiritual journeys. Some may be difficult, and God wants it to be that way. He may challenge you to look deep into your life and give meaning to your word. Others may seem easy (faithful, loving, forgiving) but God put your word into your hand for a reason.
I pulled out the work VOCATION. I feel that my Star Word has challenged me to look inward as I reflect about my position within God’s church. As an elder of 30+ years at RCCC I have grown to feel that a big part of me is tied up in my VOCATION to RCCC by leading, sheparding or just being there for others. Thinking further, my VOCATION is to protect our church to ensure that RCCC is still growing many years after I am gone.
I hope that you sat down with your Star Word and leaned into how it is guiding you. Words are powerful and Star Words can lead to some of the most meaningful insights into our spiritual journeys.
Blessings to my fellow RCCC family members,
Ron
